Who knew that in 1943 Linda Brown, would one day be the center of a change for the better that would last for generations!

Civil rights icon Linda Brown Thompson, who as a young girl was the student at the center of the landmark Supreme Court case Brown v. Board of Education that declared school segregation unconstitutional, changed the lives of millions of African Americans.

On May 17, 1954, the Supreme Court ruled unanimously that separating black and white children was unconstitutional because it denied black children the 14th Amendment's guarantee of equal protection under the law. This decision helped overturn racial segregation in the United States.

Today, Southside Christian Palace honors your life and legacy. We send our prayers and thoughts of comfort and peace to the family/loved ones.
