DESCRIPTION:The Ms. Mission Possible Pageant serves as an avenue to raise funds for the community advancement initiatives of the W.R. Portee Foundation and Southside Christian Palace Miracle Center. Since its conception\, these initiatives have included resources for families and single mothers\, health and wellness\, counseling\, mentorship\, life coaching\, and more. With a purpose to reach\, rescue\, and revive people from all walks of life\, especially those considered at-risk. For the past 42 years\, this pageant has been one of the driving forces to make this possible.  There have been hundreds of testimonials that echoed how this outreach has made a profound impact on individuals and the community as a whole. \nThis event also serves as a tool for positive influence and personal development for participants and attendees. It stresses the importance of communication\, poise\, and social development skills.  The stories of triumph from the community\, participants\, and attendees as a result of this event are life-changing. \nJoin us for the 43rd Annual Ms. Mission Possible Pageant—Saturday\, November 23\, 2024 at 5pm!

DESCRIPTION:Dear Saints\,\nWe are excited to extend this heartfelt invitation to you for a special occasion at Southside Christian Palace Church—the Pastoral Anniversary Celebration honoring our beloved Senior Pastor\, Dr. D.L. Portee. This momentous event will take place from Friday\, September 13 to Sunday\, September 15\, and we would be honored to have you join us. \nThis year’s celebration theme is “Anchored in the Promise\,” inspired by Hebrews 10:23: “Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;).” This scripture embodies the strength and steadfastness of our faith\, a fitting tribute to the dedicated service and leadership that Dr. Portee has provided to our congregation and community. She has ruled well and labored in the word and prayer to ensure the needs of the flock are met\, as any good shepherd would. For this\, 1st Timothy 5:17 says: Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour\, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine. For the scripture saith\, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And\, The labourer is worthy of his reward. \nThroughout the anniversary weekend\, we will gather in fellowship to reflect on the blessings we have received and to celebrate the unwavering commitment of our Pastor. The schedule of events will include special services\, uplifting worship\, and opportunities for fellowship and encouragement\, beginning Friday\, September 13 at 7 pm\, Saturday\, September 14 at 12-4 pm\, and Sunday\, September 15\, at 12:15 pm and concluding Sunday Evening with our annual banquet at 7 pm\, held at Stars on Brand\, in Glendale CA. \nYour presence would greatly enrich our celebration\, and we warmly invite you to partake in this joyous occasion.
